The building, located along Corso Vittorio Emanuele, faces the seafront and is characterized by neoclassical features with Art Nouveau decorations also found in the interior rooms.

Following numerous discoveries of historical and archaeological interest dating back to different eras, the building is now under protection by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Archaeological, Fine Arts and Landscape Superintendence for the Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria and the province of Vibo Valentia.
