The work assignment concerns the adjustment of the final architectural design of the hotel and the executive design. Specifically, the intervention, under construction, involves the partial demolition of the existing hotel with reconstruction and expansion while maintaining the same base. The area is increased by 1500 square meters on the various floors above ground of the factory body and to the basements through the construction of three levels, two dedicated to parking of customers’ vehicles and one designed to accommodate SPA and wellness center. Access to the garage is from the opposite side of the street through a basement passageway passing under the roadway.

On the ground floor there is a restaurant, a bar with lounge and breakfast room, and a meeting room that opens externally to the Faloria, Cristallo, and the hotel’s winter garden. On the upper floors and in the attic there are rooms of different types and suites to accommodate guests as needed. The complex, located in the historic center of Cortina d’Ampezzo, is designed to be classified as a five-star Superior-type hotel, and is architecturally designed to echo the architectural language derived from the historic structure, while maintaining clear reading of the compositional elements typical of mountain hotel structures born after World War II of the last century.
