The art installation involves some of McArthurGlen’s Italian outlets and is inspired by the ‘Umbrella Sky’, a temporary project that decorates the streets of the city of Agueda in Portugal every summer.
The intervention is characterised by a sea of suspended umbrellas floating poetically in mid-air along the shopping streets of the oulets. The aim is to redevelop and make different parts of the commercial space recognisable.
The umbrellas are actually hooked onto some metal cables stretched between the oulets.
